Bakery-Cafe To Open June 13 In Property's West Building

Developer Conrad Properties proudly welcomes its newest Metro Lofts resident – the St. Louis Bread Company. The popular bakery-cafe will open June 13 in the Metro Loft’s west building located on Forest Park Blvd. between Euclid and Taylor in the Central West End (CWE).

“We are very excited to have the St. Louis Bread Company on location at Metro Lofts,” said general manager, Kathy Bresnahan. “It will be a tremendous benefit for not only our residents, but the entire CWE community.”

Metro Lofts is a new 213-unit apartment community in the CWE offering a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans. The apartments feature exposed concrete columns; ceilings and floors will combine with nine-foot, eight-inch ceilings to create unique open living spaces. It is the first major new apartment complex initiated in the CWE in more than 15 years. The project opened its third and final building May 1 on its two-acre site at 4545 Forest Park Blvd.

“Metro Lofts, with its close proximity to the BJC Medical community, is a great location for St. Louis Bread Company,” said Ken Adams, General Manager of the new St. Louis Bread Company location. “We look forward to serving the local community by providing high quality artisan bread and the warm, welcoming environment of the Panera Bread bakery-cafe.”

The new bakery and café is located at 4535 Forest Park Blvd. and will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday. It is the largest prototype location in the St. Louis area. Visitors will enjoy a full menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, along with bakery goods and hot and cold beverages. The new location also offers free wi-fi Internet access.
